Registrations Tool

The Registration Tool is designed to allow users to register for events from your website.

Within Navigation Builder, click Add page to create the webpage that will contain your registration form.

Tool Heading & Step 1 - Registrant Information

If you wish, you can add a Tool Heading describing this area of the webpage.  For example, Census Registration Form or Madrigal Dinner Registration.  

  1. Click edit in the top section, enter the descriptive heading, then click Save.
  2. Step 1 Description reads, "Fill in your contact information. Then click the Continue button."  You may edit this by clicking on Edit Step 1 Description, entering alternative text in the text box, then clicking Submit.
  3. Fields included in this step are displayed in the first column of the table.  To Add a Field, click on the link and the screen described in the next step will display.
  4. Column 2 allows the flexibility to choose which fields to display.  The Number Attending Text may also be modified here.
  5. The Update and Delete columns display N/A for default fields, but will display links to Update or Delete for any fields you choose to add.
  6. When finished, Save Changes.

The following six options are available for this new field:

Text - Primarily used as a label.

  • Be sure to click Add at the bottom for each item.

Label & Text Box - Used for Short Answers, i.e. Name, email, etc.

  • Determine width of entry box
  • Is an Answer Required?  Yes/No

Label & Text Area - Used for longer answers

  • Choose height/width of entry box
  • Is Answer Required? Yes/No

Label & Radio Button

  • User can choose only 1 answer
  • Enter the Radio Button label in the text box
  • Enter choices in grid below the text box
  • Decide # of columns to display the choices in
  • Is Answer Required?  Yes/No

Label & Check Boxes

  • Multiple choices are allowed by entering the number of options required from the drop down box.  
  • Enter the Check Box label in the text box - (What brand(s) of computer do you use?  Check all that apply.)
  • Decide # of columns to display the choices in
  • Is Answer Required?  Yes/No
  • Enter choices in grid below the text box

Drown Down / List Box

  • Enter the Drop Down / List Box label in text box
  • Choose the # of rows to display at 1 time
  • Allow multiple Choices to be selected?
  • Is Answer Required?  Yes/No
  • Enter choices in grid below the text box

Click Add at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2 - Registrant Information

  1. Step 2 Description reads,  "Fill in your contact information. Then click the Continue button."  You may edit this by clicking on Edit Step 2 Description, entering alternative text in the text box, then clicking Submit.
  2. Check boxes allow for the display of guest names and/or to prefill with registrant names entered in Step 1.
  3. A dropdown list provides input for the Minimum # of Guest Names.
  4. If the Include Guest Names check box is checked, it is possible to add extra fields per person to the registration form. Click Add Extra Field to create the additional fields.  Field options are the same as mentioned in the previous step.
  5. If changes have been made, click Save Changes.

  1. Step 3 Description reads, "Select which activities you would like to attend below. Then click the Continue button."  As in previous steps, you may edit this by clicking on Edit Step 3 Description, entering alternative text in the text box, then clicking Submit.
  2. To add an event, click Add Registration Event.  The screen below appears.
  3. To View Registrations, click the link and a list of registrations is displayed.  A dropdown at the top gives you the choice of viewing Not Yet Downloaded Records or Downloaded Records.
  4. The Enter a Registration link allows the user to add an event participant from this screen.

  1. Enter the title of the event in the first box.  This is the description that will appear on the form.
  2. Choose how to position this event.  Place at top is the only choice for the first event.
  3. Enter a description for the event.  
  4. Click Active if the event is to be made visible at this time.
  5. Click Add and the following screen displays.

Additional events can be added at this screen by clicking Add Registration Event.

To add activities within an event, click the link Activities  The screen below is displayed.

The Update link takes you back to the previous screen step.

Delete is used to delete the event and all registrations attached to it.

Specific Activities can be added to an event, providing the registration information with more details.

Click Add Activity and the following screen displays.

  1. Choose where to position this activity in relation to other activities.  
  2. Enter an Activity Title, for example, How to Add a Web Page to Your Website
  3. Provide an email address that registrations will be emailed to.
  4. Enter a description if desired.
  5. Click Add.  The screen below is displayed.

Repeat for additional Activities.

To add quantity options, click on link provided.  The following screen displays.

The Update link takes you back to the previous screen step.

Delete is used to delete the activity and all registrations attached to it.

Quantity Options is a useful tool that provides ?????????????????

Click Add Quantity Options and the screen below displays.

Enter a Title and Cost for this Activity.  As is indicated, if there is no cost, enter 0.

Click Add.  The following screen displays:

Additional quantity options may be added by using the Add Quantity Option link.

  1. Update will take you back to previous screen where edits can be made.
  2. Delete is used to delete the quantity option and all registrations attached to it.  
  3. Page Title link will return to the tool on the Main Body.  To continue with Step 4, click on the Page Title.
  4. <BACK takes you back one screen.

Step 4 - Payment Information

Step 4 Description reads, "Confirm the information below. Then click the Continue button."  As in previous steps, you may edit this by clicking on Edit Step 4 Description, entering alternative text in the text box, then clicking Submit.

Up to three options may be chosen as methods of payment.  They are:

  • Paypal/Credit Card - Enter the email address of the PayPal account in the blank.  If you do not have a PayPal account, click the link to create one.  
  • ACH Solutions -  You can accept credit cards AND eChecks with ACH Solutions.  Enter the Username in the blank provided.
  • No Online Payment - The user can pay later by sending a check or call with payment information.

From Email Address:  This is the email address that will appear as the sender when the customer gets emailed an order confirmation (and will also get bcc'd)

Return URL:  This is where the user will be sent to upon completion of the registration. If you leave this blank, a generic "Thank you for your registration" message will appear.

When finished, click Save Changes.

 

View and Download Registrations

Submitted Registration information can be viewed and downloaded within Step 3.

Locate the Registration tool.

Scroll to Step 3.

Display List of Registrants

Display List of Registrants

The list of registrants appears containing the data fields included during the registration process.

Links to sort by Date and Name are available as is the registrant's email.

A drop down menu allows the choice of viewing Not Yet Downloaded Records or Downloaded Records.

The Click here to download the ## registrations listed below link will provide the option of opening or saving a .csv file containing the registrant's records.  Further manipulation of this information can be done within a spreadsheet such as Excel.

Within the list of registrants, click on the View link to see the individual registrant's information.  Links are included for email and payment options as well as adding a guest and delete the record.

Within the list of registrants, click on the Update link and the above screen is displayed.

Payment amount and methods can be added or changed within this area.

Once registration is complete, the above screen will display, informing the individual their registration has been received.

The registrant will also receive an email confirming their registration.
