CMS4Schools Web Accessibility Enhancements

As CMS4Schools is updated to address web accessibility issues, we will post information identifying what those items are below.

December 20, 2016

  • added valid alt values to images that didn't already have them which are controlled by the CMS
  • added names and values to form input fields
  • replaced the input type submit with an input type image
  • added alt values to input type images
  • added skip to main content links on Theme designs

November 3, 2016

  • addition of <H1> heading tag for pages generated by Resources / News tool and Faculty pages (being rolled out to customers over the next several weeks); page titles must be already present on the page or be entered by the website content editor in order for for this to appear

October 25, 2016

  • replacement of on-screen CAPTCHA characters with web accessible reCAPTCHA (being rolled out to customers over the next several weeks)
  • consistently displaying <H1> heading tag for page titles (being rolled out to customers over the next several weeks); page titles must be already present on the page or be entered by the website content editor in order for for this to appear
  • addition of English language page declaration on pages generated by Resources / News tool
  • modifying iCal subscription page to be a valid HTML page
  • addition of <label> tag for iCal subscription page
