Placing Your School's Facebook Feed on Your Website Using Facebook's Like Box

The Like Box is a social plugin that enables Facebook Page owners to attract and gain Likes from their own website. The Like Box enables users to:

See how many users already like this Page, and which of their friends like it too

Read recent posts from the Page

Like the Page with one click, without needing to visit the Page

The minimum supported plugin width is 292px.

Getting the i-Frame Code

Go to https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/

Enter the URL of your Facebook page.

Width - the minimum is 292 which is perfect for displaying Like Box in the right side bar.

*Height *- key in the desired height. For reference the height of the i-frame in the last screen shot is 590.

Use the check boxes and the Color Scheme drop down to customize the look of your Like Box. Details are given on the Like Box web page.

Click the Get Code button.

Copying the Code

Choose the IFRAME option.

Select all of the code and copy it.

Adding the Code to your Web page

Add a Text/Graphic Editor. This example is using the Right Side Text/Graphic Editor. This will work in a Main Body editor also.

Click the Source button in the upper left of the editor.

Paste in the code.

Click the Source button again.

Click the Submit Right Side Item button.

Preview the page.
